Kyokushin karate
Kyokushin karate is wellknown to all those who are interested in karate. Many has read articles about Masutatsu Oyama or has seen the God Hand movie. Kyokushin karate is also famous by the many great fighters in KI tournaments.
Even though Kyokushin is known for the great fighters, it's also very traditional budo karate style, where kihon (basics) and kata (forms) is in most important role. For every belt degree up to sandan student has to learn new set of kihon and kata's. There is lot to learn in Kyokushin.
Kyokushin style use knock down fighting rules. The founder of Kyokushin, Masutatsu Oyama thougt that only way to test one's real fighting skills is the full contact fighting.
Kyokushin means the Ultimate Truth:
"One becomes a beginner after one thousand days of training
and an expert after ten thousand days of practice"
